The Kailash Medical Foundation was founded in January 2014 as a non-profit charitable organization in memory of the late sister of Dr. Yogesh Bhakta. The purpose of the foundation is to improve the health and well-being of those in need around the world. We had a scouting trip to Himachal Pradesh, India. Himachal Pradesh’s breathtaking scenery in the Himalayas makes it a unique place to start our first mission, but it also brings with it the challenges of traveling in rugged terrain. The foundation will hold clinics to screen for diseases and offer free medical/dental care. We will provide treatment for a variety of ailments. Education on disease prevention will also be a priority for both the medical and dental teams.
